North Place Park
Lead Designer | 2nd Year | AutoCAD & Hand-drawn Visualisations
The vision was to create a vibrant, welcoming community park in the heart of Cheltenham that fosters connection, sustainability, and well-being. This park serves as a dynamic gathering space where residents of all ages can come together to celebrate local culture, support small businesses, and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
At the core of the design is a commitment to sustainable living, with eco-friendly landscaping, renewable energy features, and green infrastructure that promotes biodiversity. The park offers versatile open areas designed for community events, from seasonal festivals to fitness classes.
A dedicated market zone provides small local businesses and artisans with a platform to showcase their products, strengthening Cheltenham’s local economy and encouraging community entrepreneurship. These market stalls are thoughtfully integrated into the natural surroundings, creating a harmonious blend of commerce and nature.
The design integrates a community eco-hub, live/workspaces, an amphitheatre, a wildlife pond, and a tree-high walkway to reconnect nature, culture, and urban life - breathing new life into Cheltenham and fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
